A provisional trial date has been set for a 15-year-old boy who is charged with the murder of a 16-year-old.

Shayne Hambakachere was found with stab wounds in London Road in Chippenham, Wiltshire, on Saturday and later died at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Bristol Crown Court via video link earlier charged with Shayne?s murder.

The teenager was remanded in youth detention by Judge Peter Blair, with a trial date provisionally set for 10 August.

Paying tribute to Shayne earlier this week, his father Emmanuel Hambakachere described him as a ?brave and bold? young man.

Emmanuel told the BBC his son ?had so much? to look forward to — including his 17th birthday in June, his school prom and his fledging career as a bricklayer.

?He was becoming, more or less, a young man,? he added.

Hardenhuish School in Chippenham, where Shayne was a Year 11 pupil, said it was saddened by his death.

?Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time,? it added in a statement.

?We are taking the time to remember this wonderful young person who had such a promising life ahead and to support our whole community in coming to terms with his loss and this tragic event.?
