The ship, carrying 617 Japanese passengers and 511 crew members, was traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Long.
Upon receiving the alert, border guards quickly reported to higher authorities and dispatched a rescue team of 10 officers and soldiers. The team coordinated with Border Guard Squadron 2 and the provincial 115 Emergency Center to approach the vessel overnight.
After reaching the ship at sea, the forces safely transported the patient ashore and transferred her to Quang Ninh General Hospital for timely emergency treatment.
The swift response and effective coordination demonstrated Vietnam's professionalism and humanitarian commitment in ensuring safety for international visitors.
