The women's alpine team combined event is underway and there has already be a a shock in the downhill section.
Italian Sofia Goggia — who won bronze in the women's individual downhill on Sunday — recorded a DNF after sliding off the course.
Goggia and her fellow skiers are contending with poor light, however, so conditions are tricky for those contesting the downhill in the combined event.
Individual downhill gold medallist Breezy Johnson gave the USA 1 team the provisional lead after posting 1:36.59.
Johnson forms a star duo for the US alongside Mikaela Shiffrin.
Shiffrin has won two Olympic gold medals, in the slalom (2014) and giant slalom (2018).
Johnson will contest the downhill, with Shiffrin to do the slalom section.
