The delegation of Uzbekistan participated in the opening ceremony of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, which took place on the evening of 6 February at the San Siro Stadium in Milan. Short track speed skater Daniil Eibog served as the flag bearer for the national team.

The event was attended by minister of sports of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov, first deputy chairman of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Otabek Umarov, NOC secretary general Oybek Kasimov, Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Italy Abat Fayzullayev and others.

Uzbekistan earned four quotas for the Winter Olympics, which will continue until 22 February. However, after the figure skating pair Dmitrii Chigirev and Ekaterina Geynish ended their partnership, Uzbekistan will be represented by Medet Nazarov in alpine skiing (slalom and giant slalom) and Daniil Eibog (he previously represented Russia) in the 500-meter short track event.
