Signing of memorandum of understanding for R?ga to host EBRD meeting in 2026EBRD Today, 14:42 Economy Authors: LSM English (Latvian Public Media) Registration for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Annual Meeting of Governors and Business Forum, which will take place in Rīga from 5 to 7 June, has begun, according to a release from the Ministry of Finance. This will be the EBRD's 35th annual meeting, bringing together government representatives, investors, business leaders, policymakers and opinion leaders from around the world, making Riga an important hub for international dialogue and cooperation, the Ministry said.

"The event will combine high-level political discussions with a business forum program, creating an internationally significant platform for the exchange of views on global challenges, investment priorities, and future economic development directions," it added.

The main theme of the meeting is "From Volatility to Multiplicity: National Innovation in a Changing World", emphasizing how economies adapt to today's changing circumstances, promoting innovation, digitalization, and sustainable economic growth.

"The choice of Riga as the venue underlines the importance of Latvia and the Baltic region in the international economic space and confirms the country's ability to host high-level international events. The meeting will provide significant visibility for both Latvia and the region, while creating opportunities for local businesses and organizations to establish contacts with international partners," according to the Ministry.

Interested parties are invited to apply now, as registration is open to a wide range of attendees, including entrepreneurs, representatives of non-governmental organizations and the media. Registration will continue until May 29, 2026.
