The Aerospace Media Awards ASIA were created to honor journalists and publishers based in Asia who have made a significant contribution to aerospace journalism and publishing.

Commented Takashi Yokota, Japan Times Editor-in-Chief: “I'm pleased to see Gabriel's work being recognized for this award. Gabriel is a prolific journalist who has consistently gained exclusive access to report high-impact stories on geopolitical developments in Asia, and the award is a testament to his tenacious reporting."

Said Dominguez about the win: "I am very grateful for the award and the judge's decision to recognize this particular piece, highlighting the importance of providing independent, on-site reporting about critical issues and hotspots across Asia. I hope the article provides readers with a better understanding of increasingly complex security issues at a time when geopolitical tensions are growing."

Award winners were announced on February 2 at a reception in Singapore.
