Bail application of second suspect in DJ Warras case to continue

Twenty-five-year-old Mozambican national Armindo Pacula faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder, murder and contravening the Immigration Act.

Pacula was arrested last month at the Marathon informal settlement in Primrose, east of Johannesburg.

He is alleged to be the shooter who was in the presence of the first accused, Victor Majola, outside the Zambezi building in the Johannesburg CBD last year.

At the time of his killing, Warras? security company had been contracted to enforce security at the premises.

The state intends to oppose bail in the case of the second man accused of the murder of Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras.

While the alleged shooter, Pacula, did not appear in court with dreadlocks, as seen in images from the day of the shooting, police say they found dreadlocks at his shack where he was arrested.

They also say they recovered the bag in which the gun was allegedly concealed, although the firearm itself has not yet been found.

First accused Victor Majola, who allegedly orchestrated the killing, was denied bail and is expected back in court on Wednesday.
