Eiropas Savien?bas karogiZUMAPRESS.com, Nicolas Landemard Today, 8:34 Employment Authors: LSM English (Latvian Public Media) The European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) has launched a call for applications for the EU Civil Service Administrator (AD5) competition, which offers graduates and experts the opportunity to start a career in the European Union institutions. Applications are open until 10th March, while an informative webinar on the selection process and preparation for tests will be available online on 4th March.

The European Union is looking for talented graduates across all fields of study to join its civil service via an open competition to draw up a reserve list from which the institutions, bodies, and agencies of the European Union can recruit new members of the civil service as administrators (grade AD5).

Administrators' work in the European Union institutions involves practical participation in the preparation and implementation of decisions - from policy-making to programme implementation and resource management. It is an opportunity to work in an international environment and engage in processes that affect the development of Europe and the everyday lives of society.

The position of Administrator (AD5) is one of the most common starting points for work in the EU civil service, and after selection and starting work, it is possible to develop professionally and continue a career in various areas within the EU institutions. Professional work experience is not mandatory in the competition, and selection is based on the position profile, not a specific area or vacancy.

On 4th March, an online webinar "Career Opportunities in the European Union Institutions" will be held. During it, there will be an opportunity to learn more about working in the EU institutions, the selection process, as well as receive practical advice from EPSO on how to prepare for the tests. Participation in the webinar is free of charge, subject to prior registration.

The application period opened on 5th February and the deadline is 10 March 2026, at 12.00 (midday), Brussels time. Candidates must upload a scanned copy of their valid identity card or passport by 10th March 2026 at 12.00 (midday), Brussels time, and scanned copies of the documents supporting the declarations made in their application by 7th October 2026.

More information about the competition is available at the EPSO website. To register for the online webinar, please fill out the registration form here.
