There was disappointment again for local football fans in Port Moresby on Saturday evening, as PNG Hekari FC fell to South Island United after a stoppage time goal.
The 10-man South Island United scored in the 97th minute through Rovu Boyers to steal the win, after the OFC Pro League clash had looked like it was heading for a 1-1 draw at the Santos National Football Stadium.
The result means Hekari continues to sit at the bottom of the competition's points table with a single point, after losing four of their five matches so far.
For South Island United, the win means they consolidate fourth spot, along with Solomon Kings, the two sides with eight points each, heading into round three of the league.
With pressure on them to perform in front of their home crowd, Hekari looked set to claim an early goal after South Island United goalkeeper Steven van Dijk miscontrolled the ball in his own six-yard box.
But John Alick sent the ball over the bar from the edge of the penalty box.
South Island took the lead through Ryan Feutz, who slotted a penalty past Hekari keeper Nabo Pongi, after Van Hattum was tripped by Godfrey Haro inside the box.

Feutz almost grabbed a second, with a low drive from the edge of the area which cannoned off the post, before Oskar van Hattum flashed the rebound wide of the target.
The local side came out firing in the second spell.
OFC said Ati Kepo broke the defensive line, rounding van Dijk and laying the ball back for John Orobulu to tap into an unguarded net and send the locals wild.
Feutz continued to be a menace for the PNG Hekari FC backline.
A red card to South Island United captain Christian Gray gave Hekari a one-man advantage but they could not make any good use of that.
Substitute Rovu Boyers scored the winner for South Island as the game dragged on into extra time.
Hekari's Godfrey Haro said it was unfortunate for them not to get the result.
"In the dying minutes discipline as a team phased off in the end," he said.
"We kind of switched off a bit towards the end.
"We will regroup and see our errors. We have one week to recover.
"Thank you to our supporters, families and fans for supporting us in our three mactches. Unfortunately we did not get the results as expected."
South Island's match-winner Rovu Boyers said Hekari was a good side, and they had to work hard to win.
"We had to stay positive and we could not underestimate Hekari because they were a good team," he said.
"Credit to all the boys for giving 110 percent and gave their all for today's match.
"Thank you for everyone, grateful for the support."
Round two wraps up on Sunday afternoon, with South Melbourne taking on Vanuatu United at 2.30pm New Zealand time, while Fiji's Bula FC battles Tahiti United at 6.30pm.
Round three picks up in Australia in two weeks.
